The world of business is getting more and more complicated: globalization, advancing technology, increased competition, new laws and regulations. Somebody has to sort it all out, and CPAs are the people qualified to do it.

Over the last couple of decades, CPAs have become some of the most important decision makers in the world’s corporations and organizations. They know the inner workings of their companies and therefore, frequently hold the answers. Their ability to create, analyze and interpret financial information makes them the first to know where the company stands and where it’s headed.

Without CPAs, the business world wouldn’t have a prayer. Businesses would have no idea where they should invest more or hold off. They wouldn’t know if they were ready to grow or needed to scale back. They wouldn’t know if their marketing was successful, if the new hires were pulling their weight or if their information systems were out of date. They might even be unwittingly (or deliberately) breaking the law on a daily basis.

When even one company skimps on accounting, it can have a ripple effect throughout the entire business sector and beyond. Without CPAs, businesses don’t survive.

So if you choose to become a CPA, you can tell everyone you know that the worldwide economy is relying on you and your brilliant brain. How’s that for making a difference?
