2023 Trends Report Released!

The 2023 AICPA® Trends Report identifies:

• Key trends in U.S. accounting graduations.
• New graduate hiring and firm expectations.
• Select information about CPA Exam candidates.

The 2023 report provides respondent expectations based on university responses for the 2020-21 academic year and firm responses for the 2021 calendar year.

The AICPA Trends Report, which has been published since 1971, reflects AICPA’s continued commitment to grow the pipeline. The AICPA looks forward to working with academic and practicing communities to ensure a vital and strong profession for the next generation of CPAs and finance professionals.

Beginning in 2009, the AICPA moved to publishing the report every two years. Prior to 2009, the report was published annually.
