Program Overview

The NABA Atlanta Chapter provides scholarships to undergraduate and graduate minority students majoring in accounting, finance, and business who have demonstrated academic and leadership excellence. Scholarships are awarded annually in the Spring each year to deserving students and awards range from $500 up to $5,000 per recipient. A student must have at least one semester left in school in order to qualify for the scholarship. Scholarships will be presented at the NABA Atlanta Awards Celebration held April. The actual cash awards will be issued post the Awards Celebration upon receipt of proof of enrollment for the period covered by the award. Scholarship recipients MUST attend the NABA Atlanta Chapter Eddie Nesby Jr. Scholarship and Awards Celebration (“NABA Atlanta Awards Celebration”) and will be notified in advance regarding seating and guests. Awards are made for the following academic year. Applicants in 2022 should be pursuing NABA Atlanta scholarships for the 2022 – 2023 school year. Awards will be made payable to the recipient. It is your responsibility to ensure that your financial aid office and registrar have enough time (usually three to four weeks) to get the required items to you or NABA.
