Program Overview
In alignment with our motto, "Lifting As We Climb," one of the ways in which we execute our belief is by providing financial assistance through our scholarship program. The NABA Milwaukee Chapter gives out three to five $1,000 scholarships each year. The scholarships are available to high school seniors and college undergraduate students. Eligible participants must be complete and submit the application, along with required documents by the specified deadline. The actual cash awards will be made after receipt of proof of enrollment for the period(s) covered by the award. March 7, 2022 – Application opens May 1, 2022 – Application closes June 1, 2022 – Scholarship recipients notified

Requirements
- Applicant must be an entering college freshman.
- Applicant must be a resident of the City of Milwaukee.
- Applicant must be a citizen of the United States and seeking enrollment in an accredited college in the United States.
- Applicant must be full-time student.
- Applicant must possess a grade point average of a least 2.5 on a 4.0 system.
- Applicant must be interested in majoring in accounting, finance, or business.
- Applicant must be enrolled in a four-year college or institution of higher learning.
- Applicant must be an ethnic minority.
- Applicant must be a citizen of the United States and enrolled in an accredited college in the United States as a full-time student (12 semester hours or equivalent).
- Applicant must be full-time student.
- Applicant must be an Active NABA Student member.
- Applicant must be an AICPA Student Affiliate member (or have submitted a new member application). Apply online at no cost: thiswaytocpa.com/join-aicpa.
- Applicant must be an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior or first semester senior at a four-year institution.
- Applicant must possess a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 system.
- Applicant must be interested in majoring in or already majoring in accounting, finance, or business.

For High School Applicants:- Two letters of recommendation (other than relatives): One personal reference and one academic reference.
- Current official transcript of grades (high school).
- Copy of application for admission or letter of acceptance from an accredited college, university, trade school or other institution of higher learning.
- A 250-word (maximum) essay explaining your life’s ambition, what you hope to accomplish or achieve in your lifetime and what position you hope to attain.
- A completed online application through this link.
- Two letters of recommendation (other than relatives): One personal reference and one academic reference.
- Current official, original transcript of grades (College or University).
- Copy of evidence of enrollment at an accredited college, university, trade school or other institution of higher learning.
- A 500-word (maximum) biographical essay specifying your career objectives, leadership abilities, community activities and your involvement in NABA (include any offices held, exceptional achievements, and/or special recognition).
