Scholarship Overview

Oklahoma Society of CPAs Educational Foundation College Student Scholarship
Awarded to a student who is enrolled in a four or five-year accounting program at an Oklahoma college or university. Applicants must have completed at least 12 hours in accounting, including at least 6 hours of intermediate accounting. Applicants also must have already completed at least 60 college hours, be an accounting major, and be pursuing a Bachelor's or more advanced degree. The number of scholarships and the amount awarded varies annually.

Retha Duggan Scholarship
The Retha Duggan Scholarship, named for a former Executive Director of the Oklahoma Society of CPAs, is based on funds provided by the Oklahoma Society of CPAs. Where possible, preference is given to applicants who have been admitted to a Master of Accountancy program and who intend upon a career in accounting. This award may be allocated between two highly qualified applicants.

Ruthann Fairbairn Scholarship
The Ruthann Fairbairn Scholarship is named for a dedicated CPA devoted to furthering female professionals. Earnings from this endowed account are awarded to a female student enrolled in a four or five-year accounting program at an Oklahoma college or university. This award may be allocated between two highly qualified applicants.

Rick Kells Memorial Scholarship The Rick Kells Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an accounting student at an Oklahoma college or university who is working part-time while attending school full-time.
