Understand CPA Licensure Pathways
Welcome
A new pathway to CPA is becoming available in many states, which allows qualified candidates to become a CPA by earning a bachelor’s degree with an accounting concentration, two years of supervised experience, and passing the CPA Exam. This is in addition to the existing pathways, which include earning a master’s degree in accounting, completing one year of supervised experience, and passing the CPA Exam or earning a bachelor’s degree with an accounting concentration plus up to 30 additional credit hours, completing one year of supervised experience, and passing the CPA Exam.
The following resources were created to help faculty guide their students in choosing their pathway to CPA, including resources to include in syllabi.
